We called her "828 Lake House", but a long time ago it was called "The Lilac House". The history behind it is that the property was one of the first houses around the area... it was an apple orchard and summer house for a family who lived in Hartford. Built in 1800s and now been cared by us, Renata & Mike. We would like to invite you to spend sometime with us or without us, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

Since 2022, we’ve been lovingly restoring 828 Lake House – The Lilac House, preserving its traditional charm while breathing new life into every corner. It’s a never-ending labor of love, and now, we’re excited to share it with you.
Our journey here began when Mike retired from teaching, and I followed an old dream—to live in the countryside once again and restore a historic home. We didn’t choose this area; it chose us! Every day, we discover something new that deepens our appreciation for this peaceful, nature-filled haven.
We happily welcome your furry companions—they’ll love the open space and endless scents of the great outdoors!
